Haval H9, a hard-core SUV under the Haval brand, will release a new “Warrior Edition” model in the second generation and is expected to be officially launched on August 26. Based on the classic design of the second-generation H9, this new car further improves its off-road performance and personalized label through the blackening of the appearance, the color upgrade of the interior and the enhancement of the hard-core configuration, providing consumers with more targeted choices.
In terms of appearance design, the Warriors version almost inherits the design concept of the existing second-generation H9. The front part of the car uses thick horizontal chrome trim strips and a square headlight, while the inside integrates round LED daytime running lights, which makes the overall shape look very tough and atmospheric. This time the facelift mainly reflects the perfect fusion of the “Black Warrior” design style. The exterior trim strips for the front grille and headlights are painted in black, and the standard configuration includes 18-inch all-black six-spoke rims and all-terrain AT tires, plus a matte black paint, making the overall visual more aggressive. Body sizes are expected to be consistent with the existing version. The length of the car version of the car version is 5070mm, the length of the car version is 4950mm, and the width is divided into 1960mm (electric side pedal) and 1976mm (fixed side pedal), the height is 1930mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm. It should be noted that this new car will provide 2.5 tons of towing capacity by default to meet users’ needs for tow trucks, motorboats and other related equipment.
On the basis of maintaining the existing layout, the interior design has added a lava red theme, bringing more vitality to the hard-core cockpit. The vehicle continues to offer two different layout options, 5-seat and 7-seat, to meet the diverse needs of home users and off-road enthusiasts. In terms of configuration, the Warriors version will be equipped with a panoramic fusion parking system by default, but the specific functional details have not been fully disclosed. Referring to the current model design, the interior of the second-generation H9 includes a three-spoke steering wheel and a 14.6-inch central control touch screen. In addition, its secondary instrument area integrates the seat ventilation/heating function, driving mode switching, electronic control differential locks for the front and rear axles, low-speed four-wheel drive system and tank head-turning function buttons, making the driving experience more convenient.
The upgrade of the Warriors version this time focuses on personalized and differentiated options of configuration. The new car’s standard configuration includes 18-inch all-terrain AT tires and black rims (optional price is 3,000 yuan), and a new combination optional package called “Panorama Integrated Parking + 360 Surround View Dash Cam” is added, priced at 3,000 yuan. Haval provides a variety of optional equipment solutions for different model versions. Among them, users of the Discovery and Tuojing versions can choose the combination of “front/rear axle electronically controlled differential lock + preset trailer power port + rear traction equipment” (the optional price is 14,000 yuan); the Jijing version is equipped with a rear axle electronically controlled differential lock, and also provides optional options for the front axle electronically controlled differential lock and related drag components, with a price of 8,000 yuan. In addition, the optional installation fee for 7 versions is 8,000 yuan, and users can freely combine according to their needs.
In terms of power system selection, the Warriors Edition plans to continue to adopt the existing second-generation H9 power system and provide users with two options: 2.0T gasoline and 2.4T diesel. Among them, the maximum power of the 2.0T gasoline engine reaches 165kW, the peak torque is 385N·m, and is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission; the 2.4T diesel engine has a maximum power of 137kW and a peak torque of 490N·m, and is equipped with an automatic transmission with a longitudinal 9-speed automatic transmission. All models are equipped with BorgWarner TOD timely four-wheel drive system by default, which allows two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive modes to switch intelligently. The diesel version also offers an optional silicone oil fan (5,000 yuan) to further improve the heat dissipation performance in high-temperature environments.
As a hard-core SUV with off-road as its main feature, the Haval H9 Warriors Edition also performs quite well in terms of passivity parameters. This new car has a proximity angle of 31° (loading version)/29° (backpacking version) and a departing angle of 26° (loading version)/24° (backpacking version), with a minimum ground distance of 224mm. Combined with the all-terrain control system and the turn-on function of the tank, it can easily cope with a variety of complex road conditions such as sand, gravel, mud, and snow. In addition, this non-load-bearing body design combines the independent front suspension of the double wishbone and the non-independent rear suspension of the multi-link, successfully balances off-road rigidity and driving comfort on the road.
With the launch of Haval H9 Warriors, it has clearly positioned its target user base as consumers who love off-road and pursue personalized expression. The model combines the exterior design of “Black Warrior”, lava red interior decoration and hard-core off-road function. It not only inherits the classic characteristics of the second-generation H9, but also meets the needs of specific markets through a unique optional method. On the premise of maintaining a starting price of 199,900 yuan (refer to the current version), the release of the Warriors version may further enhance the competitive position of Haval H9 in the hard-core SUV market and bring more choice opportunities to consumers. #Harvard H9 Warriors Edition is about to be launched#
